BOARD HISTORY

Everything on the net has a history, it may be short , but never the less it's a start , as was with this board. 


Hi I'm Oddassy 

7 years ago, I used to travel the net in search of all that 'Good" stuff, to share with friends, it was hard to find, but I did come across some really great sites, which I became a member to. Slowly these sites disappeared, and I ended up with 1 site for all my enjoyment, sadly this also followed the others.

With the loss of the last site, "Candymans" all the guys there had no place to go, we had a great cyber relationship going on, and I wanted this continue, so I started a site whereby we could keep in touch and share our likes or dislikes....called 

"ODDASY'S PLACE"

This really started out for 2 reasons, so as we could keep in touch, share what we had, and more so as an experiment to see if others could find my site. I linked with several other good boards, then every day raced around the net to find the best of the best and placed it on my site. 

Within a very short time, people started turning up on the site, it was really exciting, and this continued for some time, some regular guys disappeared for different reasons, mainly family situations and new arrivals, but numbers kept growing.

As these grew so did my site, and so did the hosts, we went from Forumonecenter to a free hosted board, then to XMF, where the site really took off, numbers had grown to the thousands, and it had almost become a full time job for me. 

I went through yet another board name change and with the intervention from a guy called "Gaylan" my board became...

"Oddassy's the Max" 

My tribute to the greatest site I had ever visited.

It had become impossible to keep up, so I decided to hand the running over to a few very trusted people I had come to know. I thank Gaylan,, Bobo and Kiweed

Their input to this site had been tremendous, and thank them for taking up the challenge.

As we grew, so did the demand, more guys were taken on to help run this site as we just continued to grow from strength to strength, at this stage, as my input was now only part of the board, I decided that it was no longer "My" board, but "Our " board, and passed ownership to all the guys as well, that helped run this board.

We continued to grow however, and the demand kept growing, this board had turned from an experiment, to "OUR" little monster, more guys were needed, and a better site was required, if we were to keep all the visitors together.

The board went under another change, and we left XMF for a new server (2 of them ) but both proved to be unable to handle our traffic, we decided it was time to pay for our own server , for some reason, we just keep growing

What touches me more than anything else, is that every person that has been chosen to help run this board, has turned out to be a very special person, and friend to everyone else running this site, no other board I know, has this warm family orientated feeling behind it, and that's what makes our board and people so special.

My personal thanks and gratitude, goes to all those guys, who's names appear above under Executive Moderators, and Admin, for without them, I would have shut this board down a long time ago.

I have never really had an interest in porn, that was never my intention in creating the first site, it was to keep a band of friends together, today my interest has not changed, to me this place is more about a bunch of really great people that have managed to all come together, form a strong cyber bond, and with everyone of their input, build what we have here today, an amazing site, where every visitor can become part of our little corner of the net.
