gTranslate is not affiliated with Google Inc. in any way.

* Browser locale and page language auto-detection (if the "lang" attribute is defined for the selected tag or for the whole page).
For example: By defalut gTranslate has "German to English" as language pair. If you your locale is set to French then "German to French" is going to be used, but if the page (or the selected text) is detected to be in English, it will be translated from "English to French".

* Support for translating text from input and textarea form fields. Image title or alt attributes can be translated also.

Q: Why gTranslate only translates from a few languages?

A: Sorry but gTranslate works using the languages offered at http://www.google.com/translate_t so until Google don't add support for more languages I can't do anything :)

Q: The text I wan't to translate is too long and appears uncomplete in the translation box. How can I see a complete translation?

A: Click in the translation box and a new tab will be opened with the Google page with the full text.

Q: When I click on the translation to open it in a new tab it just opens a white page. What happened?

A: Look if you have the Image zoom extension installed. Seems like gTranslate and Image Zoom doesn't fit well together. To solve the problem uninstall and re-install Image Zoom.
